Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, the mid-engined 348 was manufactured from 1989 to 1995, during which time some 8,844 examples passed through the famous factory gates of Maranello. The model was offered in three guises – coupe, convertible and targa top. The car in question is one of the latter and, by the owner’s admission, was looking pretty down in the mouth when it came to us for a complete repaint. By then it was wearing black livery, but had begun life in Ferrari yellow – ie Giallo Modena. We duly stripped the old paintwork and carried out whatever repairs were required before respraying in its original colour. It now looks suitably bellissimo once again!
